About Us

About Us
If you are interested in Motoring or Motorsport then we can offer you all the assistance or advice you need to become involved yourself.

Founded in 1906 we are one of the oldest active Motor Clubs in the UK and one of only a handful to own its own Clubhouse. If you are interested in Motoring or Motorsport then we can offer you all the assistance or advice you need to become involved yourself. Our full Members are involved in all forms of Motorsport at all levels, from Competing to Marshalling/Organising. Throughout the year we run a number of low budget events that are an ideal introduction to Motorsport.

The Clubhouse is open every evening, all day Saturday plus selected Sunday Lunchtimes for F1 Grand Prix and extended opening for some other selected international sporting fixtures. The main social nights are Friday & Saturday. Many local people have joined the Club, they enjoy the range of Real Ales, the atmosphere and the cheaper prices. (Anyone visiting the Club on more than 3 occasions will be asked to join as an Associate member).

CAMRA National Club of the Year 2013 & 2017.

The Clubhouse and Bar is open every evening, and all day Saturday. Plus extended opening for selected F1 Grand Prix and some other international sporting fixtures. The main social nights are Friday & Saturday. Many local people have joined the Club as Associate members, they enjoy the range of Real Ales, the atmosphere and the cheaper prices. (Anyone visiting the Club on more than 3 occasions will be asked to join as an Associate member). A regular annual event is our Wheel Ale Festival

Over the last few years we have gained a good reputation for our Real Ales & Ciders. We have received many CAMRA awards. In both 2013 and 2017 we were awarded the prestigious CAMRA National Club of the Year.

We also stock real cider and a range of wines. CAMRA members welcome, local CAMRA groups sometimes have meetings at the Club.

We have our own Darts and Pool teams in the Cheltenham Leagues, plus have our own cycling and walking groups.

Other local groups meet at the Club, Drag Racers, Motorbike Trials, Scramble and Enduro Clubs, local home brewers, plus a couple of cycling groups and The Hash House Harriers. We have a couple of rooms that we can make available for meetings.

The Magic Bus  outings visit local pubs and breweries, usually on a Tuesday evening once a month during the summer months. During the winter months we occasionally have longer trips on a Saturday, for example: beer festivals or Black Country pub tours. The trips are very popular. Book early to avoid disappointment.
