Time is short, you will need to register and submit your first predictions by 5.50AM this Saturday.
Please see the email from Josh detailing the results from last night’s 12 car.
Apologies it’s taken a while to work it out.
We found three code boards had gone missing upon collection.
Two had been deliberately driven over, one in Dymock Woods and one in Queens Woods Kempley.
Sorry about that as it was then a long way between the previous code board at Oxenhall
and the next one at Four Oaks. They’d both got run over before anyone found them
and they were a long way off the side of the road!
The third missing board was simply taken and that was just off Castlemorton common.
We finally got back home at 2.30am this morning!!
Many thanks for all the lovely comments- it has been heartening to hear that you all enjoyed Josh’s first attempt at a 12 car organisation.
He was solely responsible for the teasing clues.
In case someone still hadn’t got the final section sussed –
the 18 represented R, the 19 was S and the 20 was T.
I’ll leave you to work out 12 and 15!!
Nice to see one expert crew and one novice crew got them 100%.
If anyone wants to know specifics about what boards they missed etc
please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
See you all soon.

In damp and slippery conditions David and Emily drove almost faultlessly to the win with no Time Penalties and 1 missed code board. One went missing on the night so was excluded from the results. I expect that Dave was pressing on a bit missing code board 57 which was on the A436 between the Air Balloon and Seven Springs!
In second place with no missed code boards but 20 time penalties were Jon and Alastair , another great result.
In 3rd accompanied by a first time navigator (he only turned up to take some photos) were Kev and Callum.
4th Were Leighton and Craig who explored the local shrubbery just before TC3.
5th Were Jeff and Josh who struggled a bit keeping to the time schedule and having to cutting route in places.
Finally commiserations to Phil and Nick who again had to retire with Nick feeing a bit “Uncle Dick”, and to Martin Davis and Adam Lister who both found them selves without navigators, then paired up only to be foiled at the last minute by an ABS problem with Martin’s Subaru.
Thanks go to Martin Saunders for an interesting and challenging route, especially that rogue yellow that did for my front splitter when setting out the boards. He did go out and amazingly retrieved it frozen to the middle of the track! Also to Phil, Rich and Dave, Martin and James, Dave and Doreen and Gaff for marshalling.
The next round is being organised by Jon and Alastair on Friday 16th February, book your place on the website.
Round 3 of the CMC Winter series is being held on Friday 19th January, hosted by Cirencester Car club and will be run by Martin Saunders and myself. Sign on will be at the Cheltenham Motor club from 19.00 hours. There is a run out of 10 – 15 minutes to the start where Car 1 will leave at 20.01. The finish will be just outside Cirencester and refreshments and results will be at the Plough Inn Stratton. There is no charge for entry but insurance for the event will be required and will be available at the usual cost of £15 if your normal policy does not cover you. The route is approximately 45 miles on map 163 Cheltenham and Cirencester C3 or newer. Please reserve your entry on www.cheltmc.com on the winter series page. Beginners wishing to use marked maps please contact me for further details.
The last round had a good entry so early booking is advisable. Marshals are also required. I hope to see you there.
Many thanks to the teams that turned out to take part in this years “Cracker. The weather eventually turned in our favour even though a few of the lanes were more like rivers!
I the end as normal, the results were very close, just the odd clue here and there.
Congratulations to Chris and Fran on the win. The answer to the tie breaker was 61 sweets in the box and although it was not needed at least Sandra and Henley went home with the sweets as a consolation prize.
Thanks to Rich Burdett for supplying the prizes, enough for everyone to take one home.

Would I get in a car that you are driving?
Test your knowledge of the Highway Code with a selection of question from the DVSA theory test.
General knowledge of Motoring and Motorsport.
Lots of fun and lots of prizes.
Nice to see some new faces and some old one returning to the 12 car series.
Thanks to the marshals and to Phil for driving me around to put the code boards out on Friday morning.
It was a bit like a day in my office, being bounced about in the car and me having to remined to check his mirrors before indicating.
