Down Ampney Airfield Saturday 31st October

The health, safety & well being of all Club members, Event officials & competitors is paramount.

MOTORSPORT All UK event permits were initially suspended. But now the suspension has been lifted for selected events, all subject to strict COVID regulations. See Motorsport UK updates.

THE CLUBHOUSE is open, with revised opening hours (see below) and some restrictions, which are basic common sense and something we’ve all had to get used to.

Here are a few of the things we have put in place. MEMBERS ONLY. Cards must be shown to bar staff to assist with track & trace. Guests can join for £4 until the end of 2020 using this link: Membership Form.
Payment by card only, NO CASH.

We have installed screens and have extra hand sanitisers. We will encourage you all to be outside, where some shelter has been provided (car parking is restricted). If it gets too busy then we reserve the right to lock the doors and refuse entry to anyone. Please be extra patient with the bar staff and other members.

All meetings will remain postponed. As the situation changes daily, we will continue monitoring developments.

We are one of the oldest active Motor Clubs in the UK and one of only a handful to own its own Clubhouse. If you are interested in Motoring or Motorsport then we can offer you all the assistance or advice you need to become involved yourself.

Our main events are Stage Rallies – The Get it Sideways Stages Rally & The Three Shires Stages Rally.

But throughout the year we also run a number of low budget events that are an ideal introduction to Motorsport.

The events are normally part of  winter or summer series – 12 Car Navigational rallies, autotests, treasure hunt’s & motor gymkhana’a. We have a good group of motorsport marshals, who regularly go out on events to help out other Clubs, with general marshalling, radio crews, timing teams & event officials.

We also attend local shows and fate’s with a display of vehicles at local shows.

Torque Motors is a dedicated evening of classroom style navigational teach-in’s, quiz’s or table-top rallies and sometimes guest speakers. We also run a club fantasy formula 1 competition

The Clubhouse and Bar is open every evening. The main social nights are Friday & Saturday. Many local people have joined the Club as Associate members, they enjoy the range of Real Ales, the atmosphere and the cheaper prices. (Anyone visiting the Club on more than 3 occasions will be asked to join as an Associate member). A regular annual event is our Wheel Ale Festival. CAMRA National Club of the Year 2014, 2017 & 2020. We also stock real cider and a range of wines. CAMRA members welcome. We have our own Darts and Pool teams in the Cheltenham Leagues. Other local groups meet at the Club and we have a couple of rooms that we can make available for meetings (during regular opening hours).

The Magic Bus  outings visit local pubs and breweries, usually of an evening once a month during the summer months & occasionally longer trips on a Saturday. Book early to avoid disappointment.
